You can ask for an appeal or a reassessment, if you do not agree with the decision on your assessment. It is not a guarantee that you will receive more financial assistance by submitting an appeal request.
How to Appeal Your Assessment
- Visit the Financial Aid Office for assistance.
- Complete the appropriate appeal request form and include supporting documentation.
- See a Financial Aid Advisor during drop-in appointments for help to send your appeal request to StudentAid BC.
Processing an appeal request can take up to 6 weeks and it must be submitted at least 6 weeks before your current study period ends.
Overaward appeals must be submitted by 90 days after the date of the overaward amount letter from StudentAid BC.
