We look forward to celebrating your accomplishments at our Summer 2022 graduation ceremonies. There are steps you need to take in order to attend your graduation ceremony, so please follow the checklist below carefully. Graduation Checklist
A $20 fee is required to confirm your attendance and rent your regalia (gown) for your ceremony. To get started, please click here. Don’t wait, the deadline to confirm your attendance is May 18!
- Information regarding guest tickets will be sent to graduates in May, after you have confirmed you have paid your registration fee and reserved your regalia.
- Each graduate may RSVP for up to two guest tickets for their assigned graduation ceremony.
- Guests under the age of 2 do not count towards the two-guest maximum. Please note: these guests will be required to sit on a parent or guardian’s lap.
- A livestream of the ceremonies will be posted online for guests who are unable to attend.
If you require special accommodation (i.e., sign language interpretation or wheelchair access), please contact us at convocation@douglascollege.ca at least two weeks before your ceremony.
Parking at the New Westminster Campus will be complementary between June 14–17. For directions to the parkade, click here.
Please arrive at the Douglas College New Westminster Campus 1.5 hours before your ceremony begins. To check in, graduates are required to bring their student ID card and Gaspard order confirmation.
- Coat check for graduates
- Coat check is available in the Future Students’ Office located on the second floor in room S2740.
- Pick up your regalia
- Graduates will check in and receive their regalia on the third floor in the Dance Studio, room N3260. Your Gaspard order confirmation is required.
- Pick up your credential
- Graduates will pick up their credential in their designated pre-procession room (look for signage on the day of the event). Your student ID card is required.
- Prepare for the procession
- Instructions and an overview of the ceremony will be provided to you on the day.
- Attend the reception
- After the ceremony, all graduates and their guests are invited to a light reception at the Level 4 North Plaza.
- Drop off regalia
- After the reception, graduates can drop off their regalia in the Future Students’ Office located in room S2740.
