Douglas College is launching a business degree this fall to meet labour-market demand and give grads an edge in the job market.
The new Bachelor of Business Administration in Management joins the existing BBA degrees in Financial Services and Accounting. In the third year of the Management program, students choose from one of six concentrations: financial services management, hospitality management, international business management, project management, supply chain management and trades management.
“The management BBA and associated concentrations are designed specifically to prepare students for jobs in areas of high labour-market demand,” said George Stroppa, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration.
Graduates of this program are eligible to write the industry certification exam for their respective concentration and meet the academic requirements for the Canadian Institute of Management’s Chartered Management Program (CMP).
“I highly recommend this program to any student looking for a robust, applied and industry-recognized credential,” said Thor Borgford, Vice President Academic and Provost.
The Bachelor of Business Administration in Management is now accepting applications for September. More information about the program can be found at douglascollege.ca/management
