Transportation infrastructure is a hot button topic in Metro Vancouver. Paying for transit, bridges, tunnels, roads and moving goods and people costs money. So, who pays for it all? How will mobility pricing work in the City of New Westminster? How will the cost affect the average consumer? This is all part of a bigger conversation. Join Douglas College, SFU and the City of New Westminster at the next Urban Challenges Speaker Series.
Wednesday, Oct. 18 at the New West campus, RM 2201 from 6:30pm - 8pm.
Anthony Perl, Professor of Urban Studies and Political Science at SFU
Daniel Firth, Executive Director at TransLink Mobility Pricing Independent Commission
Kevin Ginnell, panel moderator and Instructor of Political Science at Douglas College
The Urban Challenges Forums are free and everyone is welcome. After the 45-minute presentation, there will be a 45-minute audience dialogue.
