After many years working in academic and corporate sales where relationships and accountability were the foundation for success, Jane transferred her skills and passions to the world of fundraising with a focus on education. Prior to joining Douglas College in 2016, Jane worked as Fund Development Manager with the Take a Hike Youth at Risk Foundation and before that she held a variety of sales management roles with LexisNexis Canada. A strong believer in the importance of education and lifelong learning, Jane enjoys taking on new challenges. Having grown up in Winnipeg, Jane is still a prairie girl at heart but wouldn’t trade the ocean and mountains for anything, having now lived on the west coast for many years.

Determined to bind contemporary frustrations with affirmative action, Jin came to the Foundation in October 2017 with a background is sociology and post secondary fundraising. He received his Bachelor of Arts with a major in sociology from the University of British Columbia in May 2017 and as a recent graduate himself, he is able to understand current trends and apply parallels in his academic experiences to the ever-changing definition of "student life". To Jin, the Foundation is about raising awareness of existing barriers to education - fundraising is the means to an end. With deep appreciation for post secondary education, coupled with his successful experiences at UBC Annual Giving, Jin is now dedicated to improving conditions of academic accessibility for students of Douglas College.
